Sorry posted it wrong on profile. Sad day one of my friends mom died last night of pancreatic cancer topic i am doing my paper on in another class. I also had a patient in chemo today that we all love cry and say she is tired of fighting it. She is been a patient for a long time and now it is not a good thing for her diagnosis. So today i have cried all day and tonight due to the fact that we all need to love the ones we have and the ones we don't. God commands us to be a light in the dark and this disease is killing people. Pray for me to be that light in my job and please pray for my patients that they find that healing even if it is in death.
God Bless

  1. Colette,

My prayers are with you in the fight against cancer. I am so sorry to hear about your friends mother. It is always so hard when you lose a loved one. Even a person that has been a patient for a long time. Sometimes I think it is just easier for them to give up rather than keep fighting. At least they keep the fight up while they can. Try to have a better day tommorrow.

  2. Hi Colette,

I am sorry to hear about your friend's mother.

I participated in a conference workshop once that was led by someone who works with children who have been maimed and disfigured by war, even to the point of knowing they will not live. Many of them had suffered burns all over their bodies. The therapy they used with these children was "clown therapy" which we practiced in the workshop. They said it worked to bring light and some joy to the children. Sometimes what works for children will also work for adults.

Sometimes people who are suffering just need something to make them smile or laugh or feel any human emotion besides pain and despair.

Keep on trusting that you make a difference. Bless you.
